Fun Facts  {about me}

It is personally rewarding to make people happy doing something I love.

I love shooting weddings.

I love being the most laid back person the bride will see on her wedding day.

I love seeing a couple on the happiest day of their life, so far.

I love that there is always someone there with a better camera than me.

I love shooting the groomsmen that think they’re the first guys to come up with nicknames for each other and quote “Old School.”

Most of all, I love being granted access to peoples’ hearts and souls, and given the honor of photographing it for them. This exclusive honor comes with a great deal of responsibility, and I take that very seriously.

I’m a master at “poofing” out the dress just right.

I've played the drums since I was 11.

I can pin boutonnières and fold pocket squares.

I can bustle a dress.

I always dry the bouquets before the bridesmaids take them for photos so they don’t drip on the dresses.

I have designed and certified a LEED building project (Google it.)

My purpose, beyond photographing each wedding, is to make sure the bride and groom are having fun, and not stressing about the timeline or the photographs.

I grew up on the coast of North Carolina. My wife and I are East Carolina Grads (Go Pirates!), and we have two beautiful little girls, Ella Carmen and Maddie.

I have a background in Architecture and Sustainable Design, and started my photography business in Fine Art Photography back in 2006.  From showing at juried shows and art festivals around the state, I found my passion in Portrait and Commercial photography.

I have been shooting weddings since 2009, and I’d love the opportunity to talk with you about shooting yours.
