Young Love. That's what I was thinking while shooting the engagement session of this sweet young couple head over heels for each other. Their chemistry, their empathy, their vibe was unmistakable. These two were in love, and it made my job so easy. We shot on a nice warm afternoon this past fall at the Historic Yates Mil Park in Raleigh, NC and in a local field at sunset.
I was lucky enough to catch this couples' eye when they were looking for a wedding photographer in Raleigh. This sophisticated and modern couple knew what they wanted in their wedding and engagement photography, and I was humbled that they trusted me with that vision. Our first adventure together was their engagement session at the JC Raulston Arborteum at NC State University in Raleigh, NC. They really made this look easy. Honestly, one of the most photogenic couples I've had the pleasure of working with. We had a great time making some great portraits.
I was very happy to hear when a dear friend was recently engaged, and even happier when she asked me to shoot their engagement photos!
"Where do you suggest we do our engagement photos?" This is one of the most asked questions I get. My response is always to find a place or places that are special to the two of you. Where did you meet? What are things that you enjoy doing together and that help define your relationship? Stephanie and Brad certainly delivered on that! They are both avid CrossFitters and love movies, so I spent some time with them at Bull City CrossFit and at one of the last remaining drive-in theaters around, the Raleigh Road Theatre, as the sun was setting in time for the double feature.
