Ed & Maureen {A Downtown Raleigh Wedding}

Ed and Maureen were such a laid-back and fun couple to work with.  It was a comfortable process in the planning and discussion of their wedding photography, especially since it always involved beverages at Crank Arm or enjoying craft brews at their home.  Although the weather did not want to cooperate on that day, you would never know it.  It never damped anyone's spirits and the party started early and went through the evening and onto late night!  Taking place at the beautifully and meticulously restored Merrimon-Wynne House in Downtown Raleigh, this wedding was full of beautiful details and 'kodak moments'.  Amy and her staff at the house were 5-star throughout the day, including creating an umbrella canopy for the wedding party and guest leaving the tent from the ceremony to the cocktail hour in the house.

We started the morning with a bridesmaids luncheon at the house, we all headed to their home for the first look.  From there we stopped at a few key spots that were important to the Bride and Groom.  My favorite was pulling up to a Denny's with a bus full of bridesmaids and groomsmen to take a group shot in front in the rain!  The couple's first date was at a Denny's, so we said "Why not?!"

Back at the house, the ceremony and reception took place in the tent during the rain where the party continued.  DJ Steve Stowe kept everyone on their feet and Clyde Cooper's BBQ served some proper NC 'que to the guests.  The Crank Arm Rickshaw was the perfect Downtown Raleigh send-off ride.

Mike & Renee {An Umstead Hotel Wedding}

I first met Renee when she stopped by my booth at the Southern Wedding Show at the NC State Fairgrounds last year, and I was honored to be selected as their wedding photographer!  We broke the ice last fall with their epic engagement shoot that took over three hours, in three locations that spanned three counties!  (See the highlights here.)

The Wedding Day was perfect, and Mandy and I had such a great time capturing it all for them.

I also had the pleasure of working with a top-notch group of vendors for this wedding!  Thank you to everyone for bringing it all together for this special couple.

The Official Heating & Air Conditioning Company of the Hay-Boyd Wedding:  Hay's Heating & Air Conditioning!

Rehearsal Dinner at Tyler's Taproom at the American Tobacco Campus:

Shameless Plug!:  The groom and his family own Hay's Heating & Air Conditioning in Durham, NC.  I have since changed my HVAC maintenance contract on my home to Hay's, and several other of the wedding vendors have too!  They really have been amazing to work with, and have done several repairs at my home since.  I highly recommend them!
